Free festival entry does not include every rental, competition or service. Here is what is known so far.
GETTING READY
Bring some
warmth with you

Layers
Wind protection, warm socks, a hat and gloves. The coast can feel colder.
Practical footwear
For snow and walking between areas. Be prepared for slippery sections.
Spare layers for children
Dry gloves and a spare layer can make a longer day outdoors more comfortable.
A journey home
Check the last bus or train. If staying for the evening, consider an overnight stay.

The festival takes place on winter coastal ground. Surfaces, cleared routes, toilets and access to warm-up areas are still being checked. If you need information for a pushchair, wheelchair or another access requirement, contact the organiser ahead of time.

Good question
Is entry really free?
Yes. Entry to the festival and market is free on 23 January. Cup entry, rentals, sauna, food and individual services may cost extra.
Do I need a team to visit?
No. You need a team for Winter Cup. Open activities, the market and music are for general visitors too.
What happens on 22 January?
22 January is for Winter Cup team competitions, with spectators welcome. The market, public skating, sauna village and Winter After Dark concert take place on 23 January.
Can I bring children?
Yes, family activities are part of the plan. Individual age requirements are being confirmed. Children attend with an accompanying adult.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Requirements for personal skis and skates will be published on the activity pages. Check them alongside rental rules before travelling.
Do I need to book ahead?
Not for general festival entry. Teams register through Fienta. Booking for the ski event, rink and sauna is being confirmed separately.
What if the weather changes?
Parts of the sports programme depend on snow, ice and wind. Updates will appear in the programme and activity pages; check before setting off.
Where is the map and exact entrance?
The exact entrance, parking and site map will be added to the visit section once approved. The current location is the Narva-Jõesuu seafront and Suur-Lootsi area.
